"The city of Luskan, known as the City of Sails, bustled with activity as ships docked and departed, merchants hawked their wares, and taverns overflowed with sailors and adventurers. Amidst this vibrant chaos, one figure moved with a grace and confidence that drew eyes wherever he went. Jarlaxle Baenre, the infamous drow mercenary, strolled through the crowded streets, his feathered hat and flamboyant attire making him stand out even among the city's eclectic inhabitants. His eyes, sharp and calculating, missed nothing as he made his way towards a secluded alley, his steps silent and purposeful.

Jarlaxle’s reputation preceded him—leader of the mercenary band Bregan D’aerthe, master of intrigue, and a figure of both fascination and fear in the Underdark and the surface world alike. Today, he had business to attend to, a delicate matter involving a missing artifact and a double-crossing client. He slipped into the shadowed alley, his hand resting lightly on the hilt of his rapier, ready for any surprises that might await him.

At the alley's end, a cloaked figure waited, nervously glancing around. Jarlaxle approached with a disarming smile. "You seem jumpy, my friend. Perhaps you have something on your conscience?" The figure started at the sound of his voice, then turned, revealing a young man with wide eyes and a trembling hand.

"J-Jarlaxle, I didn't expect you to come personally," the man stammered. "I... I have information about the artifact you seek. But there are others looking for it too, and they're dangerous."

Jarlaxle chuckled, the sound smooth and untroubled. "Danger is my bread and butter, my dear boy. Now, tell me everything you know." He leaned in closer, his gaze piercing. The young man swallowed hard and began to speak, his words tumbling out in a rush.

As the man divulged his information, Jarlaxle's mind raced, connecting dots and forming plans. The artifact, a magical amulet of great power, had fallen into the hands of a rival mercenary group. They planned to sell it to the highest bidder, but Jarlaxle had no intention of letting that happen. With the details secured, he placed a reassuring hand on the man's shoulder. "You've done well. Now, return to your life and forget this conversation ever happened."

The young man nodded fervently and hurried away, leaving Jarlaxle alone in the alley. The drow mercenary adjusted his hat, a wicked grin spreading across his face. He relished the challenge ahead, the thrill of the hunt. The rival mercenaries thought they could outmaneuver him, but they were about to learn a harsh lesson in underestimating Jarlaxle Baenre.

Later that night, under the cover of darkness, Jarlaxle moved through the city with the stealth and precision of a shadow. He had assembled a small team of his most trusted men from Bregan D’aerthe, each one skilled in their own right. They converged on a dilapidated warehouse at the edge of the docks, where the rival mercenaries had taken up residence. The plan was simple—quick, efficient, and utterly devastating.

Jarlaxle signaled to his men, and they moved into position. With a flourish, he drew his rapier and stepped through the warehouse door, his presence commanding immediate attention. "Good evening, gentlemen," he announced, his voice dripping with confidence. "I believe you have something that belongs to me."

The ensuing battle was swift and brutal. Jarlaxle's team moved with practiced efficiency, overwhelming the rival mercenaries with a combination of lethal skill and cunning tactics. Jarlaxle himself was a blur of motion, his rapier flashing as he danced through the fray, each strike precise and deadly. Within moments, the warehouse was silent, save for the heavy breathing of the defeated.

Jarlaxle approached the leader of the rival mercenaries, who lay wounded and glaring up at him. With a flourish, Jarlaxle retrieved the amulet from the man's grasp, holding it up to catch the moonlight. "Thank you for keeping this safe for me," he said with a smirk. "But I believe it's time for it to return to its rightful owner."

As he walked away, the amulet safely in hand, Jarlaxle couldn't help but feel a surge of satisfaction. Another successful mission, another victory. The world was a dangerous place, full of challenges and intrigue, but that was just the way he liked it. After all, Jarlaxle Baenre thrived on danger and deception, and tonight, he had once again proven why he was the most feared and respected mercenary in all the realms."

This product contains Axel, a single miniature sculpted in 32mm scale.   Axel was sculpted to represent Jarlaxle Baenre from the Legend of Drizzt novels, based upon the descriptions of him given in the books.

The painted version of Axel was done by the wonderful Nathanael Gudgeon, aka Judge Gudge

STL

The STL variant of this product is supplied as repaired STL files, LYS supported files and supported STL files. Supports are professionally done in Lychee Slicer and designed to remove beautifully (provided you have dialled in your printer settings). They are guaranteed to give you one of the best printing experiences you've ever had! Are we allowed to use the term "printgasm"?! :-)

RESIN

The Resin version contains 1 high quality resin miniature, printed to 32mm scale.  All support material is removed prior to shipping and the resin is fully cured to ensure that it is safe to handle.  We will also supply an appropriately sized round MDF base per model.  No additional cleaning is required, simply glue the model to a base using Cyanoacrylate glue (superglue) and paint it.

All models are printed to order, and you will join the print queue in the order in which your order arrives with us.  We can print the miniatures in 28mm scale if you wish, just please ensure that you let us know after placing the order or on your order notes when you complete your purchase.

Please note that our resin models are UV cured and prolonged exposure of the resin to sunlight will continue to cure the resin and may cause it to go brittle in time.  To avoid this please paint the models as soon as you are able (this also helps you to keep your pile of shame to a minimum!).  You only need to prime them to prevent the over curing.

Miniatures supplied unpainted and come with MDF bases supplied by Sarissa Precision.

Production and Shipping

Please note that all orders placed through this UK website are produced at and shipped from Lion Tower Miniatures Limited (Trading as The Lions Tower), located in Solihull, UK.

We are not currently registered for VAT so there should be none to pay on any orders whether UK or international.

Production

STL files and other digital products are already loaded into the product, and once added to your basket and paid for, will be added to your library.  Please ensure that you use a registered account in order that you can come back to download the products when you need to.

All of our physical products are 3D printed to order on a first-come-first-served basis.  Please allow up to 10 working days for us to process your order. During busy periods this may be a little longer but you will be kept up to date on progress.

Prints are carried out on a resin 3D printer with a <25 micron XY pixel resolution, and printed at 0.25mm layer height.  This ensures the best possible quality for you.

Our resin of choice is Phrozen Aqua 4K - it is fantastic for picking up the detail on the miniatures and has enough flexibility once fully cured to be robust enough for regular handling and gaming.

The printed models are thoroughly cleaned to remove any excess resin from the surface and all support material is removed* and the model is quality inspected to ensure that it meets our high standards.  They are then cured so they are safe for you to handle.

Some of our models may be supplied in multiple parts, and all are supplied with a separate base.  Simply test fit the parts dry so that you know how the model assembles, and then use superglue to fix the components together.  After holding the parts together for a few seconds, the glue should have cured and the parts will be fixed securely.

The resin we use for 3D printing is UV curing, so exposure to UV light is what turns it from a liquid into a solid.  We supply the models perfectly cured and cleaned, ready to paint and game with.  Exposure to sunlight may continue to cure the resin resulting in a more brittle finish.  To preserve the flexibility of the models, please paint them as soon as possible - even a simple coat of primer is enough to block the sunlight and prevent excess curing.

*There may be some fine micro supports around the miniature but these can be quickly and easily removed using a scalpel or hobby knife.
